They figured out their lives were all mixed up. One of them got okay with it, but the other stayed sad and couldn't deal with it. The cheerful girl had some good ideas; she suggested, "Let's split the world into what we imagine and what's real, and let's enjoy both." The sad girl replied, "The world's already cut into two: sadness and joy. And it feels like I'm carrying all the world's sadness on my own." Their talks went on like this, unaware they were trapped in a tiny cage outside of both worlds they described.
