People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal liberation organization in the world.

PETA opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview, and focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in laboratories, the food industry, the clothing trade, and the entertainment business. They also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of rodents, birds, and other animals who are often considered “pests,” as well as cruelty to domesticated animals.

Bahar Haghverdi is a self-taught Iranian artist, born in 1986. She works with expressionism and surrealism, and builds her compositions with dense layers of color, texture, and everyday symbols she picks up from the world around her. Her art is raw, personal, and meant to feel alive. Bahar draws inspiration from artists like Edvard Munch and Egon Schiele, whose emotional depth and bold figures echo through her work.
