Story Behind "The Painter"

This wasn't his first time doing it. Every so often, he felt a strong urge to grab those paint cans from the parking area. He'd mix the paints together and smear them all over his face, treating his skin as if it were a blank canvas. Instead of using brushes, he preferred dipping his fingers directly into the paint, feeling the colors coat his skin while the strong smell made him dizzy. Standing by the window, he'd get ready to "fly." He'd flap his arms, pretending they were wings, until he flew.
