The young man was a skilled tilesetter. Whenever he sold a tile, he would mark a cross on his head to remember the tile’s pattern. The smell of all those tiles made his nose look swollen and red all the time. He focused so much on building tiles that his eyes were slightly cross-eyed. The veins behind his eyes were red and vivid because he spent so much time deep in thought. There was a rumor that he himself was made from tiles.
