Story Behind "Zombies"

My uncle's family is quite unusual. My uncle, who is nearly always drunk, laughs childishly and jumps around constantly. His wife spends most of her time asleep, mostly while sitting. My cousin, their son, tries to stand out by tying broccoli to his skin and onions in his hair. Their daughter is mortified by her parents' behavior and often hits herself in frustration. Despite all this, I find their eccentricity appealing and wish I could swap my family for theirs and be their child.
